March 8th 2015, This painting was inspired by the 1995 film Dead Man. A friend of my thought I might like the movie, he was right. Although this movie was inspired by poetry, there are many scene that I just loved. Like the scene of wounded William Blake, his face red with war-paint, curling up on the forest floor with a dead deer. I was most moved by the haunting images of the birch trees as William Blake and an America Indian named Nobody traveled along a birch tree forest as Nobody explains how he got his name. The music was also excellent I created a tribute video that featured Neil Young’s Guitar Solo, No. 3 (Music from and Inspired by Dead Man). Enjoy.
